Wildflame wins RTS Cymru Award!

At the Royal Television Society Cymru Awards 2022, on April 8, Wildflame won an RTS Award in ‘News and Current Affairs 2021’.

Dylan Wyn Richard’s film ‘John Owen: Cadw Cyfrinach’ wins the RTS Cymru Wales Best ‘News & Current Affairs Award’ presented at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on the 8th April 2022. Wildflame would like to express huge gratitude to Dylan Wyn Richards (Producer/Director), Susie Phillips (Producer), Claire Hill (Producer) and Al Edwards (Editor) for producing such a powerful and emotive film.

‘John Owen: Cadw Cyfrinach’ also known as ‘Keeping a Secret’ aired on S4C on April 7 2021.

In this documentary, for the first time on camera, a survivor and former pupil of John Owen, Gareth Potter, shares his experiences, his thoughts and the effect that years of abuse had on him while at Ysgol Rhydfelen during the 80s.

This programme is available with English subtitles on S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer.
