The Celtic Media Festival have nominated Wildflame for a History Screen award for the TV film Efaciwis: Pobol y Rhyfel/ Evacuees: People of War.

Nominees – Celtic Media Festival
Efaciwis: Pobol y Rhyfel was a TV film made for S4C along with the series Efaciwis: Plant y Rhyfel and the TV film Drych: Lloches. Discussing and exploring evacuees in Wales, the history from the 1940s to modern day refugees.
In Efaciwis: Pobol y Rhyfel, this historical documentary teaches how Wales was changed forever at the turn of the Second World War as hundreds of thousands of people reached the country; evacuees whole departments of the goevernment, workers and American GIs.
We learn what it was like for the Welsh on the front line and how the war impacted some of Wales’ rural communities.
